The Student Service Foundation

Lake Forest High School is pleased to announce the creation of the Student Service Foundation. The Student Service Foundation was recently created by former student Sissy Peters with support from Student Council, Ms. O’Hara, Mrs. Clegg, Mrs. Konz and Mr. Hoffmann. The many service clubs of LFHS work hard all year long; giving their time and talents for the betterment of the school and community, but even service projects need some money to get off the ground and that is why this foundation was created. The purpose of the foundation is to grant service clubs or individuals the opportunity to apply for funding so that they may pursue their various projects. Please keep your clubs and projects in mind as you can apply for the foundation grants starting in the fall of 2007.  You make pick up the application in Mrs. Clegg or Ms. O’Hara’s office or download the form from the LFHS website. There will be separate applications: one for requests over $500.00 and one for requests under $500.00. The Student Council Executive Committee will meet monthly to review all applications submitted within that four week period and will then make their decision and submit the applications to Ms. O’Hara, the Student Service Coordinator. The Student Service Foundation will make it easier for clubs to more efficiently accomplish their worthwhile goals.
