LFHS Registration Process for 2010-2011

Current students will meet with their counselors in February 2010 to register for next year’s classes. Students do not need to make an appoint they will meet during their counselor seminars.

           Juniors (Class of 2011) – February 2-8
            Sophomores (Class of 2012) – February 10-18
            Freshman (Class of 2013) – February 22- 26

The counselors will be working with their respective students on an individual basis during English periods, registering students for classes. Parents please be sure to have a thoughtful conversation with your students regarding courses for next year. The Student Guide to Courses is located here. Feel free to contact your son or daughter’s counselor regarding course selections.

Class of 2014
The registration process has begun for the Class of 2014. In mid to late January we mailed home your students tentative courses. This tentative course registration will represent your 2010-11 schedule and will reflect your course requests and the eighth grade teachers’ recommendations. If you have no questions, your registration process is complete at this point. Your health forms are due to the high school by August 2, 2010. If you would like to change a level of a core course selection, you and your student may come on February 3, 2010, 5:00-6:30pm to the Lake Forest High School Library to consult with a person from each different academic core area. The student must come and participate in this process if a change in the schedule is being considered. You are welcome to come at anytime during the hours indicated. At the completion of this consultation, you should be able to sign all the required forms to complete your registration that evening.

Class of 2014
Health forms are due to the high school by August 2, 2010

The Health Office needs a Medication Authorization Form (White) turned in annually in order to dispense all prescription and NON-prescription drugs. In addition, a Medical Emergency Information Form (Yellow) should be updated if any changes have occurred since the last form was submitted. No medication may be dispensed without authorization and emergencies do occur during school hours. Keeping these forms current will help expedite notification to you and timely appropriate care for your child. The information remains confidential and is only used in an emergency.

Forms for your use will be included in the mailing to the home with the course confirmations in Early March. For further information contact the Health Office, Diane Bower, R.N. (847-582-7335).
