The Prairie State Achievement Examination will be administered at Lake Forest High School on: As a condition of receiving a Lake Forest High School diploma, the Illinois State Board of Education requires this exam be taken by all Juniors, *as well as any Seniors who have not yet satisfied this requirement.. Make sure to schedule personal appointments around these days. The PSAE also incorporates an ACT assessment. Information describing logistics of the school day and expectations of all students will be publicized in the near future. Freshmen, sophomores and seniors who have satisfied their diploma requirement, do not report to school on these two days (unless arrangements have been made with teachers, coaches, or club sponsors). Seniors in need of fulfilling their diploma requirement, will be seated with the juniors during these (2) days of PSAE exams. Seniors unsure if they have met the diploma requirement, can check with their counselor. The State ACT for Juniors, which is scheduled for April 23, 2013, will not include a writing portion. The State has decided not to fund the writing section for this school year. Please be advised in order to take the writing portion of the ACT your student will have to take a National ACT test with the writing section. Also, please note that state law requires students’ PSAE scores to be recorded on their transcripts (day one and day two scores). If you have any questions, please contact your counselor. Please make sure to schedule personal appointments around these two days. Students should arrive at the regular start time of 7:50 AM. The schedule below is subject to change so be sure to check back later! TIMES: Tuesday, April 23: 7:50-12:30. NO lunch available. SNACK BAR OPEN: 7:30 AM April 23-24 are non attendance days for freshmen, sophomores, and seniors who have satisfied their diploma requirement. Please note: Thursday, April 25th and Friday, April 26th are regular days of attendance for all students.
