January 2008 HIGHLIGHTS
The recent Holiday Concert and Spaghetti Dinner were spectacular. Thank you to all in the LFHS community who attended the event and made it a success. Special thanks go out to the Madrigal Singers and to the LFHS Jazz Band who provided outstanding entertainment during dinner.
Kudos to LFHS senior Matt Kalish for initiating the Wizards in Winter Contest that launched the school-wide search for lead student guitarists to perform the Trans-Siberian Orchestra’s Wizards in Winter during the Orchestra Concert.
Congratulations to contest winners Jimmy Beck and Alex Flagstad who provided a penultimate musical experience. A special round of Applause is in order for Spaghetti Dinner co-chairs Lorraine Condic and Faith Favale, as well as for their committee members: Mary Flagstad (ticketing),
Sue Barkhausen (volunteers), and Dianna Goldman (decorations) who orchestrated a wonderful, smooth running event with great food, great desserts, wonderful ambience, and most importantly, great music!
