School begins on Friday, September 5 at 7:50
am. Bus service will
run for those receiving bus service. The day will end at 1:00pm.
Freshman Orientation Schedule
Freshmen Orientation is a unique opportunity for freshmen only
to get to know the high school. Students will have the opportunity
to find their lockers, work the combination lock, meet their
counselor, dean, teachers and locate their classrooms as they
run through their schedules. The shortened day enables students
to hear from their teachers to prepare for Monday.
Here is a brief look at what will be experienced on that day and
what they should bring with them:
1. Class Schedule (mailed home)
2. Their locker number and combination (that was received at Registration/Book
Buy)
3. Pen or Pencil
7:50 am
Freshmen should report to the RMA (Raymond
Moore Auditorium) not the Competition Gym.
Students will receive a welcome from various administrators, counselors
and deans.
8:10 am - 8:25 am
Students will break into smaller groups and
meet with their counselor
8:30 am -10:45 am
Students and their counselor will tour the building,
meet with the deans and enter the computer labs
10:55 am
All students and counselors will reconvene in the Competition
Gym
11:00 am
Students will follow their class schedule beginning with
Period A (1). This shortened day will allow students to attend
class for ten minutes. Students will receive 5 minutes to pass
between classes. Period H (8) will end at 12:55pm.
12:55 pm
Students will have the opportunity to visit the cafeteria
for a limited menu for lunch for purchase.
1:15 pm
Buses depart the high school
