Veterans Day Essay Winner!

The Lake Forest American Legion Post sponsored its annual Veteran’s Day essay contest “What Veterans Day Means to Me.” Aleka Scoco, this year’s winner, spoke at the Sunday, November 11 Veterans Day program in Lake Forest. As the winner of the contest, Aleka received $1,000 to donate to the LFHS club or organization of her choice. She is donating the money to both the LFHS Band and the Human Rights Club. The three runners-up, Sarah Condic, Kelsey Kleinert, and Trevor Wellington, each received $250 to give to their chosen club or activity.
