Lake Forest 8 - Libertyville 9

In a close game against the Libertyville Wildcats, Emily Nowlin started the team off strong, scoring three of her six goals in the first quarter. Teammates Norie Kaufmann and Emmi Neal also added to the final score of eight to nine. Hannah Gersten came to the pool ready to compete. She constantly swam back and forth across the pool, allowing her to not only assist many of these goals, but also create a strong defensive barrier.  Leading at the end of the first quarter three to one, the Lake Forest Scouts proved to be a threat. With a ridiculous number of kick outs, the team was fortunate enough to be given multiple opportunities to put their well practiced six-on-five defense to work.

Communication during the second quarter was slightly less than perfect. The team needed to call out the names of the people receiving the pass before the ball was released. Endurance during the third quarter allowed the team to keep the score close. During the fourth quarter, the team's sprint work during practice paid off, and goals were scored off the breakaways. With a game that ended this close, there is much hope for success in the future.
