The Boys Swimming and Diving Team would like to donate enough
money to purchase one Shelter Box for Haiti. (see below)
The LF/LB Rotary is taking the lead and all monies collected
through the high school will channel to them.
The cost of a shelter box is $1000....if all 46 boys and
4 coaches donate $20 the team would be able to support one "shelter."
This is a project for the team to work together on!
Coach Cindy will be taking donations up until practice
ends on Friday. We will also have a donation box at Senior
Night in the stands Thursday. Any amount of donation is appreciated.....Checks
can be made payable to LFHS with "Haiti" on the subject line.
We are hoping all boys will participate in some way....no
donation is too small!!!
A Shelter Box costs $1000
and contains the following:
• A ten
person tent
• Vinyl insulated
sleeping mats and lightweight thermal blanket
• Multi-fueled
cook stove
• Eating utensils:
enamel plates/cups
• Water
purification tablets
• Other emergency
survival equipment, e.g., rope, shovel
