Telecom-Video Production wins Fox Chicago FoxHilites.com School Challenge

Telecom-Video Production won the Fox Chicago FoxHilites.com School Challenge for November and December which provided the opportunity for Corey McPherrin, Fox Chicago’s Sports Director, to visit and tell his story to more than 75 students on Thursday, February 7. Students from Writing for Mass Communications, Introduction to Business and Graphic Design joined the Telecom-video production students to hear McPherrin’s stories and engage him in a Q&A session. McPherrin talked about the future of visual media, encouraging the students to develop their writing and storytelling, which he enjoyed most interviewing and what he thinks the Bears should do with their first round pick. He also took time to critique senior Kevin Gaughan’s two basketball related videos, which McPherrin was very impressed with, and encouraged him to submit them to the website to potentially earn similar occasions in the future.
