Social Studies at Lake Forest High School introduces students to a broad spectrum of content that crosses a variety of disciplines.  Students are expected to achieve mastery of core concepts fundamental to the social studies.  Students use these concepts to develop higher order thinking skills including analysis, synthesis and evaluation.  Social studies at Lake Forest High School prepares students to deal more effectively with the issues that they, as citizens, will confront throughout their lives.
