| French students enjoy
a taste of France! December 2007HIGHLIGHTS
On October 19, Madame Sperling and Mademoiselle Huestis took the French 4 and 4 Honors classes to the Art Institute and Café Bernard for a field trip filled with beautiful art and delicious food. They began the day with a guided tour of the impressive Impressionism collection at the Art Institute. The students were able to share their knowledge and learn some new facts about this style of painting. They went to Café Bernard to enjoy an authentic French lunch. The students began their meal with fresh French bread and escargots. As a main dish, they were served bœuf bourguignon, coq au vin, or chicken crêpes. For dessert, they enjoyed either mousse au chocolat or tarte aux pommes. Throughout the meal, Bernard, the owner of the restaurant, spoke with the students en français. It was a great experience for the students. |
